Shipping quotes
International shipping is available to select countries and is quoted based on destination and box details.
The first step is to confirm that service is available for the destination country and to view an initial cost estimate.
To obtain a quote:
- Use the International Shipping Request Submission link.
- Select the destination Country from the drop-down list.
The country selection includes an approximate cost to ship one Dorm Room Movers box. This amount reflects freight only and does not include additional warehousing or handling fees.
International Shipping Details and Fees
- International shipments include several components beyond the base freight cost.
- Standard fees:
- Freight cost: shown with the country selection in the request form.
- Warehousing fee: $55 per international shipment.
- Handling fee: $19.99 per box.
- Additional item considerations:

Suitcases may be shipped with a signed liability waiver on file.
- UPS penalty fees usually apply, often around $15 per suitcase.
- Unboxed items cannot be shipped.
- Shipping after storage:
- Box-able items in storage may be packed and shipped for a $35 per box packing fee, subject to the warehouse having a suitable box and as long as dimensions and weight fall within UPS guidelines.
- Items deemed unboxable may:
- Remain in storage at the current storage rate.
- Be picked up directly from the warehouse.
- Be discarded with a $30 per item discard fee and a signed discard waiver on file.
- NOTE: Due to global supply chain and inflation factors, international shipping prices are subject to change at any time.
How to submit an international shipping request
- International shipping requires both an online request and supporting documentation.
- Steps to submit:
- Complete and submit the International Shipping Request Submission form.
- Download the attached Blank UPS International Commercial Invoice (PDF).
- Fill out all required fields on the invoice.
- After the form and invoice are completed:
- Email the completed invoice to operations@dormroommovers.com.
- Use “International Shipping Request” as the email subject line.
- Important: International shipping requests cannot move forward until both the online request and the completed UPS International Commercial Invoice have been submitted.
