What types of pickup are offered?
Pickup Types
How we collect your items is determined by:
- Our relationship with your school.
- Availability of our local moving & storage partner.
The type of pickup & will be shown in your account depending on your campus.
Standard Pickup
Dorm Room Movers will pick up directly from your room. Our featured dates are included as part of your service. Someone must be present to escort the movers and sign for the items. Movers will call the student or alternate contact upon arrival.
If those featured dates do not work for you, you can request a pickup date on an on-demand basis.

- Must be approved by our local partner.
- We are unable to provide Saturday and Sunday moves at most campuses.
Post Departure Pickup (Student Not present Pickup)
At certain schools, we have coordinated with your school administration to collect your items after you have left campus.
- Leave your packed belongings gathered together in your room.
- Label all of your items with your name and Order #.
If you require a special pickup date, for example if you are departing campus early, you can request an on demand pickup as noted above.
Courier Pickup
A third party courier is used to collect your items for storage. This is only offered on select campuses and specific instances. The following requirements apply:
- Items are collected at the entrance of the building
- Student/Alternate must be present.
- Additional fees apply.
